BBG: Month Two Complete
I felt really good during this month's workouts. I also remembered what happens when I get back into more running and leg days without regular sports massages. My lower back swells and it is very hard to stand up straight.
I have gotten back into the habit of doing a gentle or yin yoga flow on Sundays, but I need to figure out how to set aside more time for stretching, especially on leg days.
The leg days included in this second month are brutal. Tuck jumps, burpees, broad jump burpees, and jump lunges all made me want to quit. Arm days are almost a walk in the park because of all those jumping moves.
I really love the "weighted sumo squats - on a bench" move. I could feel my buns becoming "buns of steel."
I was doubting whether any actual results were appearing until I was picking up dinner one night and the line-cook asked me to flex. So I am guessing my arms are starting to take shape. Now, if I can get my abs to be a little more defined and my waist just a little more whittled down I would be happier. That's not going to come without some diet modifications thought.
At the start of this month, I also made a goal to go to bed at the same time every night in the hopes of better regulating my sleep. It's actually working...which is making me feel more energized.
