Jordyn Ivy: 7 months

Howdy! Guys, have I got exciting things to update you on this month. 

I can move! I mean really move. I figured out how to do this bunny hop thing to help me move across the floor and I am very good at the army crawl. Every now and then, I use my knees but I haven’t quite got it down pay yet. Then the other day I sort of figured out how to sit up on my own. I’m still not entirely comfortable with how to place my feet under me but I’m getting there. 

Let’s talk food! That thing avocado? No thank you! Give me all the asparagus and not puréed please. I mean look, if you want to give me some puréed mangoes, butternut squash, peas, beets, carrots and some mashed banana and sweet potatoes I won’t say no. However, I’m very in to scaring the pants off mom and dad while I naw on some steamed broccoli and asparagus. They can’t figure out how I can eat this with just two teeth. 

“Mama” is my absolute favorite word. I say it all the time, especially when “mama” is doing something and I want to be held. I also say “baba” and “ga” and then just this morning I sort of said “da.” 

I got to see real life animals last week, and people. Lots and lots of people! There are more people in this world than just my family. It’s pretty cool. Maybe I’ll get to go to the place called Target soon? 

My nap schedule has been a little wonky. I pulled off some two day two hour naps and then I didn’t. And then I fought my naps and well you got to keep it fresh. 

I’ve always liked reading but recently I’ve been showing an affinity toward certain books, even reaching for specific ones — namely Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Goodnight New York. 

Also music! I love jamming with my dad and Dylan. I have some amazing dance moves.
