One of the things I love most about running is that it gives you a chance to think. I can just lace up, plug into the iPod and find solitude in a big city. Last week, I went for a run along the east river (a 6 miler) and it was great. I had a chance to unwind after work, it was gorgeous outside and I didn’t have to fight off the people at the gym.  (More on that in a later post, I promise.) Sometimes I think I get some of my best thinking done while I am out for a run. Whether it’s a burst of creativity or clarity on an issue, running gives me an opportunity to clear my mind.

You'll find some of those thoughts here.
